As Google announced the Gmail Motion April Fools which control Gmail using body gestures. The ICT MxR Lab make a video response in making it possible. According to Google, the Gmail Motion can be run via web cam which translate the user actions into meaningful command where interacts with Gmail.
Mxr Lab’s Video response apply the Gmail Motion using Microsoft Kinect Sensor, performing basic email action such as opening , reply, and send email are shown in the video. They call ed this project as Software Library Optimizing Obligatory Waving (SLOOW) which uses OpenNI coupled with FAAST and was made by Evan Suma and the folks at Mark Bolas' MxR Lab at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies.
