Blogger: Adjusting Template Layout width

Blogger expand the capability of their Template Designer by giving the user an option to customize the width of their template. Most of Blogger templates have a main section and sidebar section. These sections width can be customize by signing to your blogger dashboard.

 Click : Template -> Customize – Adjust width. From there, you will be able to drag the slider on the width value that you want. There is also preview under the configuration. The default value for the Main section is 930px which is the optimized width for a standard screen resolution (1024x768).

Click APPLY TO BLOG button to save your new settings. Experiment your site to have a better layout result.

Do you by any chance know how you can add the code to an old layout template, such as minima so you can change the width easily? The new templates have millions of div tags and its so confusing. If you know how, please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for dropping by. I would love to help you and it could be done through editing the HTML templates itself. Go to Templates > Edit HTML. Click expand widget to see your whole template code then find the element you want to edit.
